How to use a נקודה
The method
Nekudah B’Tefillah exists so that davening does not stay on the level of saying words. The project gives one clear Chassidic נקודה at a time, tied to exact words in the siddur, so a person can understand something true, hold it, feel the inner shift, and say the words differently.
כוונה and basic התבוננות
The frame is basic התבוננות as taught in קונטרס התפילה, chapter 10. Take something about אלקות that you already know. Think about it carefully. Understand it. Stay with it until it becomes real enough to be felt in the heart. That connection of mind to heart is דעת — not merely knowing, but binding yourself to what you know.
During davening, do not try to hold an entire maamar. Hold one נקודה while saying the actual words in front of you.
The flow
- Words — meet the exact siddur phrase.
- Understanding — grasp the Chassidic idea.
- התבוננות — stay with a short first-person thought.
- Feeling — let the thought awaken something real.
- Davening differently — say the words with that כוונה.
How to use a card
Take one card. Read the words, the נקודה, and the thought. When you reach those words in davening, return to that one point. After davening, or when you want the sources, scan the QR code for the original passage, context, a fuller explanation, and related shiurim, sichos, or maamorim.
Research standards
Each published נקודה should rest on a strong authentic Chassidic source connected to these words or this section of davening. Original maamarim, sichos, letters, and reliable Chabad seforim are preferred. The page must distinguish what the source says, a faithful paraphrase, and a practical application. Quotations are never invented.
